Training faculty are members of one or more of five partner graduate programs at WSU: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Multidisciplinary Program in Infectious Disease, Molecular Biosciences, and Molecular Plant Sciences
Prospective and new trainees are encouraged to contact faculty members directly to discuss research opportunities. Our trainers are committed to helping new trainees find projects and mentorship that best fit their interests and goals.
Several faculty are affiliated with multiple Ph.D. programs or collaborate across WSU colleges. Thus, graduate trainees in any given laboratory may be in different Ph.D. programs, gathering first-hand experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, a feature of contemporary research.
Faculty build skills in mentoring research experiences by exploring mentorship practice in periodic Faculty Forum meetings. To find out more, check out our Trainer Guidelines!
